Goal & Objectives

VaultIQ Crypto App: From Intimidating to Empowering. Our analysis reveals a polarized market: global giants like Binance are too complex for beginners, while simple platforms like Coinbase lack necessary local payment options and have high fees. Local competitors like Roqqu offer the speed and bank integration users need, but often suffer from reliability issues.

UX Strategy & Competitive Analysis

This creates a clear opportunity for VaultIQ. We built a hybrid platform that combines the simplicity, trust, and education of Western apps with the fast, reliable local payment rails of regional players. This focuses on the underserved beginner and merchant segments who need a safe, stable, and easy-to-use crypto gateway.

Our UX research identified two primary personas: the cautious crypto beginner who needs guided onboarding, clear terminology, and trust signals; and the local merchant who needs instant settlements, bank transfer support, and low withdrawal fees.

The design solution bridges this gap through an approachable onboarding flow, educational tooltips, a simplified trading interface with clear buy/sell actions, and deeply integrated local payment rails — all wrapped in a premium visual identity that instills confidence and clarity.

Design Outcomes

The VaultIQ design system delivers a cohesive, scalable UI kit including authentication flows, wallet dashboards, transaction history, market charts, and a peer-to-peer trading module — each optimized for beginner comprehension and merchant efficiency.

User testing validated a significantly reduced time-to-first-trade for new users and high confidence ratings around the platform's security perception, confirming that the "Empowering" positioning was successfully communicated through the design.
